The price ($265 on sale) was right.The main advantage to it is that it is rugged.  I've had many laptops over the years and they all have died because they break down structurally, rather than electronically.  I guess I'm a bit hard on them.  Most commonly their power supply jacks go bad due to stress from the power cord, their cases crack or otherwise disintegrate, or their hinges get too loose to stay put.  This laptop is built like a Sherman tank.  It's really quite heavy for its size.  It would make a pretty good weapon in a pinch, using it either offensively or defensively, like a cast iron frying pan.  It also has massive hinges and a power supply connector that should go the distance.The main disadvantage to it is that it is a bit slow.  It's sufficiently fast  for net surfing, though it can be a bit annoying if you are used to a faster machine.  My old X200 with a cor.  e 2 processor is noticeably faster.I use this laptop only when I need Windows, which is not that often.  Most of the time I use a Chromebook (Acer CB3-111), acquired used about a year ago for $100, used.  It's much easier to live with than a Windows machine and much faster when running on similar hardware.  The Acer has only a dual core Celeron and 2MB of memory while the Yoga has a 4-core celeron and 4MB of memory, but the Acer is much faster than the yoga.As an experiment, I loaded \"Cub Linux\" onto the Yoga.  It is a free version of Ubuntu Linux that mimics the Chromebook's operating system.  When the Yoga boots, it lets me decide whether to run Cub Linux or Windows 10.  Cub Linux is Linux, not ChromeOS, but it's \"Linuxness\" is mostly hidden under the hood so that it has very much the look and feel of ChromeOS.  With it logged into my Google account, it syncs to the settings on my  Acer Chromebook so that any change in either the Acer or the Yoga is reflected in the other machine.  I had previously loaded Cub Linux onto my old X200, and that turned it into a real surfing speed demon.  The Cub Linux desktop is very similar to the Chrome OS desktop but there are some minor differences -- so there is a small learning curve for those used to a Chromebook. Installing Cub Linux is fairly simple - you download its image, write it to a thumb drive, stick the thumb drive into the Yoga and then boot the Yoga.  Club Linux will then run from the thumb drive to allow you to determine if you like it and, if you wish, a button on the desktop will install Cub Linux on the Yoga SSD hard drive, giving you the option to adjust the amount of the hard drive reserved for Cub Linux.  I set it to use only 16GB of the Yoga's 128GB drive space.  Running it on the thumb drive won't let you sync to your Google account, but running it on the hard drive will.  Although installation is fairly simple, it helps to be a geek, particularly in tweaking it after it is installed.  For you LInux-loving geeks out there, the full Ubuntu operating system is accessible by right-clicking the desktop, and it will allow you to install and run Ubuntu software.On the Yoga surfing the net using the Chrome browser in Cub Linux is substantially faster than using a Chrome browser in Windows 10 and is almost as fast as using my Acer Chromebook.  So if you like Chromebooks, but need to use Windows once in a while, the Yoga can serve both purposes if you set it up to dual boot into a Chrome-like OS such as Cub Linux.  Cub Linux does not appear to be well-supported -- It's website has been down for a long time, though it is still available for download elsewhere on the net.
