It has a genuine \"auto-hover\" and \"auto-takeoff\/landing\" feature which is awesome.It is a bit gusty today in Southwest Florida, with the aftermath of Hurricane Humberto blowing rainstorms through, but I could not wait any longer for a good flying day.Mating the controls was a little tricky. Pairing the phone with the drone was easy, but the app kept on reporting \"Low Voltage\" in the remote, even though it was charged for the recommended hour and the indicator light was green. After about 3 minutes, the status changed to \"Ready to Fly,\" and the app guided me through the calibration process. I did get stuck on the \"Unlock drone\" message. In the manual, it did not describe the 5;7 o'clock stick positions as \"unlock\" only as to start the motors. Doing that did start the motors, though.It was then a simple matter of the one button take-off, and the drone rose into the air.As I said in the beginning, the day was rather gusty, and the drone did somewhat struggle to maintain level flight, but ultimately DID stay level. The controls are not yet intuitive to me, so I let the auto-hover do most of the flying. The camera is decent, though both the picture and the 2 axis camera panning has a bit of lag. I can report, however, that the roof and gutters of my house need cleaning.Because of the gustiness of the wind, I was not able to test out the follow-me feature because I was too scared to have the drone come that close to me, but I look forward to trying when the weather settles down.My family is preparing for a trip to Southeast Asia in the upcoming month, and I am incredibly excited for the photo opportunities that may arise with this F24.In summary, with little to compare this to, it is still a very exciting toy for me. I am hoping that it will soon become a tool, and I am already imagining uses for it (like surveying my lawn to see the coverage of sprinklers). Being an avid fisherman, I am also imagining ways this can give me an advantage, but at this time, I am too much a novice to risk this over the water. All in all, as a 44 year old father with expensive hobbies like fishing and scuba diving, this is the first \"new, exciting\" thing in my recreational life in a long time.
